Apps are all the rage with smart phones. Apps are apparently easy to use because everyone seems to do it, and there are nearly half a million of them to choose from. They’re fun to use and they do everything but wash the windows. Here is a selection for Chrome users, from the top and the newest apps available. Have fun and try one, or try several.

RubbishBooks.com has a selection of children’s picture books with big, colorful pictures and a few words to read, too. From the reviews it’s gotten, people seem to love it – even the four year olds. Get the series about Patrick, Kevin and Arty free and share with the kids. Rated four out of five stars.
Dayzipping.com offers an app that lets you find out fun things to do from people who’ve actually been there. Find things to do near home and in other cities, but it doesn’t work outside the US so far. Rated 4.5 stars out of five.
Good Food from bbcgoodfood.com gives over 160 good-for-you recipes that come with full screen photos. All the recipes have been triple-tested and come with nutritional information like calories, protein, fat content, etc. and over 35 of these recipes are under 200 calories per serving. Rated five stars out of five.
Planetarium from neave.com teaches us about the stars in the night sky all over the world. Placing the cursor on a star makes it give the name, position in the sky, brightness rate, and other information about the star. Fun and educational, it’s rated 4.5 stars out of five.
